Directed by Giorgio Diritti, this war drama takes place in a rural area of central Italy in the winter of 1943. A small child named Martina has stopped talking since the death of her infant brother some years before. With her mother pregnant again and the war drawing closer, Martina and the people living in her village are treading a difficult path.
